The Majestic Bihar- My Bihar

 

Do you know the history of Bihar- A state which is not only identified by its geographical boundaries but it is only state which carry its identity on every native of this glorious land – as Biharis. Some identify Bihari as the most laborious people on this earth, some as most intelligent people on this earth, some say they are the born- politicians, some say most-polite people, sweet language & dialect, beautiful people, etc. 

I think the greatness of this Bihari soil is due to their genes of every Bihari which is coming forward from thousands of years of great legacy. Alas some call us Biharis as uncivilized, backward people but I think they just say this to satisfy their jealousy and we can’t help it.

 

In fact I believe that the most adaptable creature on this earth are we Biharis- who never deviate from our goal in any situation- can live & flourish anywhere in this world- in any situation- Therefore I say – Biharis are Unstoppable Engines of Growth. India is lacking far behind in development, education, research, etc- the reason I think is just non-inclusive growth of Bihar and less opportunity of growth to Biharis.  

People of India and world are very naïve about Bihar and her people. I want to express my happiness to reveal that the concept of today’s India as a Nation- was thought, created and accomplished from Bihar and Bihari legendary kings.

One of India's greatest empires, the Maurya empire, as well as two major pacifist religions, Buddhism and Jainism, arose from the region that is now Bihar. Magadha empires, most notably the Maurya and Gupta empires, unified large parts of the Indian subcontinent under their rule.

 

Glory of Bihar is just like tale of lord which emulates “hari anantha hari katha anantha”.  Republic of Vaishali is first ever recorded democracy found in the history of mankind. Similarly Bihar is carrying the legacy of largest & oldest university in the world in its womb just like the Mother Earth is holding Devi Sita- consort of Lord Ram in her womb.

 

Bihar is a land of several victorious and glorious kings and kingdoms since vedic period till date- videha kingdom of Raja Janak, Maurya Empire, Gupta Empire, Magadh, Anga, Vajji Confederacy, Pal Empire, Suri Dynasty, etc.

 

Bihar is karmbhumi of various prominent personalities from past till present which includes Lord Mahavira, Lord Budhha, Sher Shah Suri, Ashoka the Great, Aryabhatta, Varahamihira, Guru Govind Singh, Great Poet Kalidas, babu Kunwar Singh, Mahatma Gandhi- his debut satyagrah, Bihar Vibhuti Anugrah Narayan Sinha, Babu Rajendra Prasad- First & longest serving President of India, Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mulana Mazharul Haque, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, etc.

 

In spite of such glorious past and being led by so many great leaders who took birth on this planet at their times, Bihar is going through BIMARU state – as it is tagged by the Government Records and other performance indicators.
